The dragonfly is your guide when you are being called to see through illusions — especially the ones you have built yourself. The dragonfly spends most of its life underwater as a larva before emerging to fly. This life cycle is the heart of its medicine: long invisible preparation followed by a sudden, iridescent emergence into a completely different element. Those with dragonfly as a spirit animal often have long periods of internal development that suddenly become visible to the world all at once. The dragonfly also sees in every direction simultaneously — 360-degree vision is its literal gift, and broad multi-dimensional awareness is its spiritual gift to you.
Something you have believed to be true — about a situation, a person, or yourself — may be an illusion. Dragonfly medicine activates precisely when clarity is needed most.
